I think giving up America and all the good stuff there, then coming to live in a foreign county to work with Egyptian Christians is giving up a whole lot. Jesus was in Heaven, a perfect place with no sin. Then He was born in a smelly stable. No, that manger wasn't filled with sweet-smelling hay and the animals weren't stainless clean. Trust me, I've lived on a farm. Anyhow, I'm skipping a few holidays already, it's not Christmas yet.
Is going from this . . .
. . . to this, that big of a deal? No, not compared to what Christ did for us.
I'm thankful that He died for us, so we can live with Him.

Beautiful. :))
ReplyDeleteI always love thinking about it. Jesus wasn't just a king, he was a God that could not die. I wonder if God had trouble with the concept of death? Like, we have trouble imagining eternity, I wonder if God has problems envisioning an End? I dunno. In any case, He went from that and did die for us. Someone with limitless wealth, the power to never die...and he did. That's true love, right there.
I love it. :)))
