Some words from a tenth ave. song that have been on my heart lately . . .
I'm tired, I'm worn
my heart is heavy
from the work it takes
to keep on breathing
I've made mistakes
I've let my hope fail
my soul feels crushed
by the weight of this world
let me see redemption win
let me know the struggle ends
and an encouraging verse that reminds me of something. I don't have to be "good enough" and strong all the time. I can't be strong -- not by myself.
But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient (enough) for you, My power is made perfect (and made visible) in (your) weakness." 2nd Corinthians 12:7-10

Mmm thank you for this reminder, Kendra. I love this song, love Tenth Ave....but haven't really realized how accurate this song is for my life right now, until I read this. And we do know that redemption wins, has already won...I just need to begin living like it, and as some wise people I know have said, stop trying to win what He has already won.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this! Hope you are having a beautiful Sunday! :)
Thanks for your comment Nicole, I feel the same way! I've heard this song a whole lot but last night I heard it in a new way. Sometimes I just need to ponder the lyrics. ;)
DeleteThis is beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this, Kendra. I love that Bible verse!
ReplyDeleteI love this song. I suggest studying the James epistle for some encouragement and instruction on trials. It's helped me.
